MUSCAT: In 30 days, the Ministry of Manpower (MoM) received more than 3,500 calls from the public of which over 800 were related to labour complaints.
In a statement issued online, MoM said: “The call centre received 3,771 calls during May for a number of issues that represent the sectors the Ministry is responsible for. They were dealt with, inquiries were answered, notes taken and calls transferred to the relevant departments to take the necessary action and follow-up,” the statement said.
According to MoM, 817 calls were related to labour complaints, 656 calls related to laws and regulations and 694 calls were regarding technical challenges facing the beneficiaries of electronic services.
