MUSCAT: A total of 1,055 stranded passengers were repatriated from Oman to five destinations in India in two Vande Bharat Mission flights and four charter flights on Wednesday.
India operated two flights from Muscat to Calicut and from Salalah to Kochi. Four charter flights were also used to repatriate the citizens, two of which flew to Lucknow and one to Bihar.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Embassy of India said: “Big day for Indian nationals wishing to travel to India from Oman. In two Vande Bharat Mission flights and 4 Charter flights, 1055 Indian nationals travelled to 5 destinations in India. Deeply appreciate the support of Omani and Indian authorities,” embassy said.
