MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee’s decision to allow reopening of more commercial activities does not apply to shops located in Muttrah and Al Wadi Al Kabir Industrial area and those inside the malls, Muscat Municipality has clarified on Tuesday.
On Monday, the Supreme Committee allowed some more commercial activities to reopen starting Tuesday in the wake of coronavirus but Muscat Municipality has confirmed that this does not include Muttrah and Al Wadi Al Kabir industrial area. However, all other parts of Muscat Governorate can reopen the commercial activities listed by the government.
“The reopening of the commercial activities does not apply to Muttrah and Al Wadi Al Kabir industrial area and also it is not applicable to those shops inside commercial centres,” the statement said from Municipality.

Municipality also urged commercial establishments to follow the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
