MUSCAT: Salary deduction and forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, and termination are the most common complaints received by the General Federation of Oman Workers (GFOW) in just four days.

The trade union recorded 25 complaints from Omani and expat workers from May 10-14, taking the total complaints received so far to 228.

“General Federation is continuously monitoring complaints from both Omanis and expat workforce. The complaints included deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, and deduction of leaves for quarantine periods from annual leave and termination of service,” the statement added.
