MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has ordered to postpone the Municipal Elections which was scheduled to take place this year, due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
In a statement issued by Oman TV said the current Council will continue until a new election date is set.
Oman on Sunday confirmed 157 new coronavirus cases, taking the total tally to 5,186.
