MUSCAT: HSBC Oman has appointed Melika Betley as its new Chief Executive Officer, the bank said in a statement to Muscat Securities Market.
Betley who joins from HSBC Bank Middle East Bahrain, where she was the Chief Executive Officer and Country Manager, will replace Andrew Long subjected to regulatory approval.
“The Board is pleased to confirm, subject to regulatory approval, the appointment of Ms Melika Betley as Chief Executive Officer of the Bank,” the statement from HSBC said.

Until the approval, Long will continue as the CEO. “In addition,the Board has received regulatory approvals for the appointment of Andrew Long as Senior Advisor to the Board until 31 December 2020,” the statement added.
