MUSCAT: Representing His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman’s Minister of Health His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, attended a virtual global conference on Covid-19 on Monday calling all countries to stand united and work together on fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking about the situation in Oman, Al Saidi praised the public for “holding up well” in supporting the lockdown restrictions in the country. “Current conditions in Oman are challenging but fortunately the public is holding up well, and support for the necessary restrictions is widespread,” Al Saidi said.
“We are fulling committed to working closely with evert nation to advance common thinking and collaboration among the international community, all for the benefit of the future generations,” he added.

The Coronavirus Global Response International Pledging Conference was co-hosted by the UK and eight other countries and organisations including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Saudi Arabia, and the European Commission.
