MUSCAT: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called on the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) to direct financial institutions including banks to postpone the loan installments of employees working in the private sector for a period of six months without accumulating interest.
In a statement issued online, OCCI said banks should consider the current coronavirus situation while taking decisions into account.
OCCI has also urged the owners of commercial centers, landlords and real estate companies to reduce or postpone rents till satiation becomes normal.
