MUSCAT: Majlis Al Shura on Saturday have stepped up to lend a helping hand in the country’s fight against coronavirus.
Through the campaign, ‘For Oman’, the Shura Council members contributed OMR 100,000 to the Supreme Committee that tackles the spread of the deadline virus.
“In light of these exceptional circumstances faced by the Sultanate and all countries of the region and the world, the members of the Shura Council has approved, out of their national duty, to launch a national initiative under the name “For Oman”, which includes the contribution of OMR 100,000 to the the disposal of the Supreme Committee.”

“Shura Council called on everyone to stand united behind Oman financially and morally, according to his/her ability,” Shura Council said in a statement.
Oman on Saturday confirmed 52 cases of coronavirus of which 13 have recovered.
