Muscat: His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Theeb, Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) said the public need not engage in panic buying and assured that the country has an adequate supply of essential items.

Al Theeb appealed to people to stop over-loading their carts, which would only mean that others would be left without the basic things they need.

This comes after people were seen bulk-buying, amidst fears that stocks will not last after being advised to practice social-distancing and to avoid crowded places to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
