MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) on Monday has clarified that resident visa holders can enter Oman but must go through the quarantine process.

The statement from PACA comes after the Supreme Committee banned the entry of non-Omanis from entering the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus. “Ban on entry of all non-Omanis to the Sultanate’s territories via all Sultanate’s Airports, except the citizen of the Gulf Council Countries and passengers with residents visas,” the statement said.

“Imposition of quarantine on all passengers arriving in the Sultanate of Oman via all airports including Omani nationals and passengers with residents visas,” the statement said.

According to PACA, transit passengers also must go through the medical measures. “Passengers transferring from International to domestic flights through through any of Oman Airports would be subjected to the public health measures and mechanism of ensuring compliance must be agreed between the airports, the airlines and the Ministry of Health, which shall ensure strict conformance with the health procedures,” PACA added.
