MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Consumer Protection has confirmed to citizens and residents that it has not given pharmacies the approval to increase prices of hand sanitisers.
This comes after a local pharmacy hiked the prices of hand sanitisers that drew criticism on social media.
The General Authority for Consumer Protection has made it clear the price increase is a “clear violation” and legal measures will be taken against the pharmacy.
