MUSCAT: Single-use plastic bags will be banned from across all stores in Oman from 1 January 2021, according to a decision issued by Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA).
His Excellency Mohammed Al Tobi has issued the decision that prohibits all companies an institutions from using single-use plastic shopping bags.
According to the decision, any violations will result in fine between OMR 100-2000.
