MUSCAT: Oman embassy in India has advised citizens to stay away from gatherings to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

India on Wednesday suspended travel visas to countries including Oman and the embassy asked its citizens to wait for visas to be issued. “Indian government has issued a decision to cancel the entry visas to the country from all countries due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and the citizens who wish to travel to India should wait until the crisis is over,” Omani embassy said in a statement on Thursday.

“Citizens in India should exercise caution and stay away from gatherings and use the required methods of protection. In the event of any urgent matter, contact the embassy in New Delhi or the consulate in Mumbai,” the statement added.
