Oman provides housing aid of OMR 48 million for low income families

The Housing Assistance Programme implemented by the ministry, provides help to build a house worth OMR 20,000.

MUSCAT: Ministry of Housing had provided OMR 48 million as assistance to build houses for low income families in 2019.

The Housing Assistance Programme implemented by the ministry, provides help to build a house worth OMR 20,000 or buy a house or flat at a cost of OMR 25,000 – all dedicated to the segment of low-income families whose monthly salary does not exceed OMR 300, upon submitting the application.

Last year, the Ministry of Housing approved 193 applications in Muscat (OMR 4.5mn), 224 applications in Dhofar (OMR 6.7mn), 52 applications in Musandam (OMR 1.12mn) and 104 applications in Buraimi (RO2.5mn).
