Yes, Oman’s Green Mountain is now ranked 11th among the top 100 places to watch the sunset around the world. A new index revealing the ‘Top 100 Places to Watch the Sunset Around the World’ was recommended by travel journalists from 46 countries. The Sunset Index got 400 honourable mentions of locations worldwide, which were then refined into a final shortlist of the 100 best places. The survey was commissioned by Lensbest, Germany’s largest shipper of eye wear.
Oman’s highest peak Jebel Shams, Musandam and Sharqiyah Sands are among the other places featured in the list. Apart from Oman, other GCC countries including UAE’s Jebel Hafeet which is located in Al Ain is ranked 58th and and Saudi Arabia’s Al Masjid an Nabawi is ranked at 35th place.
