TEHRAN – During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Iran, discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
Both sides underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation to enhance regional security and stability and to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by Major General Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations; His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and several Iranian officials.
Earlier today, His Excellency the Minister of Interior arrived at Mehrabad International Airport, where he was received by His Excellency Eskandar Momeni, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with a number of senior Iranian officials.
It is noteworthy that the Sultanate of Oman will participate tomorrow, Tuesday, as the Guest of Honour in the Fourth Meeting of Interior Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states, hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
