Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday issued a Royal Decree appointing His Highness Sayyid Fatik bin Fahr Al Said as a special envoy to His Majesty.
HH Sayyid Fatik had held several positions. In 1994, the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur issued a Royal Decree No. 109/94 appointing Sayyid Fatik as Secretary-General at Ministry of Heritage and Culture
In 1997, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur, issued a Royal Decree No. 97/2 amending the title of His Highness Sayyid Fatik to “Secretary General of the Office of the Minister of Heritage and Culture.”

In 2005, another Royal Decree No. 7/2005 was issued to amend the job title of His Highness Sayyid Fatik to “Secretary General of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.”
