Coronavirus outbreak: Health of guests top priority, says Oman Air as airline suspends flights to Tehran

Oman Air on Monday suspended all flights to and from Tehran following coronavirus outbreak.

MUSCAT: Following the directives from Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), national airline Oman Air has suspended all flight operations to and from Iran capital Tehran following the coronavirus outbreak.

On Monday, the Ministry of Health confirmed two cases of coronavirus cases reported in the country after two Omani women who arrived from Iran were infected with COVID-19. This is the first cases of coronavirus recorded in the Sultanate.

“Following the directives of Public Authority of Civil Aviation(PACA), Oman Air will suspend all flights to and from Tehran, capital city of Iran, with immediate effect, 24 February 2020,” the airline said.

Acceptance of bookings to and from Tehran has been immediately suspended. The health and well-being of our guests and employees remain our highest priority,” Oman Air added.
