MUSCAT: Oman Air plane from Zurich to Muscat made an emergency landing in Diyarbakir in Turkey after it experienced a “cabin pressurisation fault” while in flight, the airline informed on Sunday.
In a statement issued online, Oman Air said its flight WY 154 took safe precautionary landing in Diyarbakir. “Guests on board this flight are currently being accommodated to local hotels in Diyarbakir area,” the statement said.
Oman Air will be dispatching a replacement aircraft, which will depart Muscat at 8pm on Sunday to bring back the passengers. “Our airports team are currently working with local authorities in Diyarbakir to look after our guests and ensure a swift and safe return of our passengers to the destination,” the statement added.
