Muscat: A commercial shop in Muscat was shutdown by the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACA) following a court ruling.
A Primary Court in Muscat issued a ruling against the shop and fined OMR 2,000 after it violated the consumer law issued by Royal Decree No. 66/2014.
According to a statement issued by PACP on Wednesday said the shop was found to be selling fake goods. However, PACP did not reveal the name of the shop or the details of the goods. “During the raids, our inspectors found that the shop clearly violated the consumer laws and they seized the goods as it was adulterated and are not authorised to sell it,” said PACP in a statement.
