Muscat: Following the rains that lashed the northern parts of the Sultanate three days ago, the country recorded a steep drop in temperatures.
Residents in Muscat woke up with 18 degree Celsius on Monday morning with freezing winds.
According to weather forecast, the Sultanate may receive “snow” over some of its mountain peaks on Monday. “There is a possibility of a decrease in temperature during the next two days and the possibility of frost formation on mountain peaks,” said Oman Meteorology in a statement issued on Sunday evening.

Oman Met also urged motorists to exercise caution while driving on the roads across all governorates, owing to reduced visibility.
