Muscat: As everyone in Oman bid tearful adieu to our beloved leader, Mayiladuthurai, a town in Tamil Nadu in India mourned the demise of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on Saturday.
The mourners put up a huge hoarding as a show of respect to the Sultan which read: “His Majesty is an eminent ruler, good human, able administrator, world peace lover.”
The hoarding is set up by the family of Ashokan, Malathi, Shwetha and Perunselvan.

“We pray for his soul to rest in peace. Let his dream come true, through the millions of his lovers, citizens, family, friends and peacekeepers.”
“Most of us worked back in Oman for many years and he is someone who gave us a new lease of life and taught us many things. We lived peacefully during our time there,” said Pandian Muthuraj who worked in Muscat for 12-years.
Mayiladuthurai located about 280km from the capital Chennai is home to 100,000 people.
