MUSCAT: It sounds like the ultimate environmental oxymoron: a green petrol service station. That’s right! Oman’s first-ever green service station will be opened on Wednesday by the Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) at the Al Rusayl Station on Muscat Expressway.

The green petrol station has several eco-friendly features, including a vapour recovery system, solar panels, LED lights, and an electric vehicle (EV) charger.
The vapour recovery system, converts gaseous emissions to liquid and effectively eliminates the release of petrol fumes.
