MUSCAT: While the speculation is rife over who will be taking over as Oman football team coach, a post lying vacant since Oman Football Association (OFA) terminated Dutchman Erwin Koeman’s contract early this month, it is learnt that the football governing body is reviewing as many as three applications.
On Sunday, the OFA board met to review these applications and according to highly-placed sources, the board will finalise the new coach by next week.
“The Oman Football Association (OFA ) board, held a meeting on Sunday evening chaired by its President Salem bin Saeed Al Wahaibi and discussed various names for the coaching role,” a statement from OFA said.
