Nissan honoured with Oman’s Most Trusted Brand for fourth consecutive year

Nissan has been conferred with ‘Oman’s Most Trusted Brand’ in the SUV crossover category.

MUSCAT: Nissan has been conferred with ‘Oman’s Most Trusted Brand’ in the SUV crossover category at a recently held ceremony at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Nissan, considered a premium and trusted name in the market, is the only brand to have won the recognition for four times in a row in the automobile category. Instituted by Apex Press and Publishing, this is the fourth edition of the award.

The award was conferred on Nissan based on a survey of more than 700,000 votes received for over 40 different categories including airlines, automotive, banks, hypermarkets, investment and finance companies, jewellery, money exchanges, private hospitals, telecom and Omani brands. The 2019 edition of the awards was conducted online using Surveymonkey, the platform used by 98 per cent of the Fortune 500 companies for their surveys and market research.  The awards were presented to the respective CEOs or company representatives by leading Omani dignitaries including their Excellencies and Royal Highnesses.

Nissan’s crossover range which includes Kicks, X-Trail and Pathfinder stand out for their superior performance, fuel efficiency, great mileage, wide range of innovation, reliability and versatility.

Nissan X-TRAIL

Nissan X-TRAIL delivers muscular styling, solid capabilities, next-level technologies, comfort and flexibility. Built for real family adventures, Nissan’s new X-TRAIL is a customer-centric SUV with the latest technologies and upgrades, yet still has the traditional benefits of a crossover. The Nissan X-TRAIL’s versatility makes it the ideal car for group activities too. Nissan X-TRAIL delivers an “Excellent” GSO rated mileage of 15.1km/litre. This mileage is obtained under laboratory test conditions conducted by GSO for the 2.5L SV variant. Nissan X-TRAIL has earned a stamp of approval across the globe. These include new combustion chamber design, pistons, intake manifold, electromagnetic Valve Timing Control and a new Direct Injection Gasoline system. Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 4-wheel drive configurations and a choice of three well-equipped grade levels – S, SV and SL.

The modern version of this popular, family-oriented four-wheel drive Nissan Pathfinder draws on Nissan’s vast experience of building vehicles designed to operate in testing off-road conditions while remaining perfectly at home on the highway. This is due to many enhancements such as smaller strokes, less under-steer, improved roll balance and improved steering ratio.

Nissan Pathfinder’s three-row/seven-passenger interior combines comfortable seating with the cargo capacity that families need every day. It offers the benefits of a mid-size crossover with the comfort of a larger SUV, including a flat floor for enhanced interior packaging flexibility and ample space. Overall interior roominess is 173.8 cubic feet (passenger and cargo areas combined).

Its standard safety and security features include Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (includes dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor), three-point seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters, curtain and side airbags for side impact and rollover head protection for outboard passengers in all three rows (includes rollover sensor), three-point seat belts for rear seat occupants, including second row centre position, LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) – second row outboard seating positions only, child safety rear door locks, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control System (TCS).
