MUSCAT:The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has denied a false report published on social media which claimed that the Wadi Alaq road in Al-Sharqiya Expressway, will open on Sunday, December 15.
However, MoT strongly denied the news and said the work is still in progress. “This is wrong. Work is still in progress in this section. We request everyone to take accurate information from official sources only,” the statement from MoT added.
In May this year, the Ministry had said that 80% of the tunnels of Sharqiya Expressway have been completed.
