Omani student killed in stabbing attack in London

The Omani embassy in UK said it is closely following the circumstances that led to the attack.

LONDON: A stabbing incident in London took the life of an Omani student, according to the Sultanate’s embassy in UK.

In a statement issued on Friday, the embassy said Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Araimi was killed in a stabbing attack.  “An unfortunate attack took place in London that claimed the life of Omani student Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Araimi. With great sadness and sorrow, the Embassy in London extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.”

The embassy said it is closely following the circumstances that led to the attack with the relevant authorities in London.


According to BBC, the victim, believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead in Brompton Road, Knightsbridge shortly before 1am on Friday. 

Of the Knightsbridge stabbing, a Scotland Yard spokeswoman said, “Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man unconscious at the scene.

“The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene at 00.39hrs.
