Muscat: Several people have been rescued after they were stranded in heavy rains in Oman, Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) reported ok Wednesday.
Heavy rains began early on Wednesday across the several wilayats including Muscat, also causing flooding in certain valleys.
PACDA informed that the control centre received a number of calls from affected people. That included three people who were trapped Wadi Hamad in Buraimi, a family stuck in flash floods in Liwa and a family trapped in a valley in Al Amerat. “All of them were successfully rescued by our teams upon receiving calls to our centre,” PACDA added.
