Muscat: Oman’s Jabal Al Shams mountain is capped in beautiful white snow following the rains that lashed the northern parts of the Sultanate few ays ago triggering a steep dip in temperatures.
Jabal Shams, which is part of the Al Hajar Mountain range, is situated at an altitude of 3,004 metres above the sea level, the highest peak in the Gulf.

According to a statement from state-owned Oman News Agency, Jabal Shams recorded the lowest temperature in Oman on Thursday morning with 4 degrees Celsius.
