MUSCAT: The first shipment of the famed Kashmiri apples arrived in Oman on Tuesday.
The popular apples are now available on all Lulu Hypermarket stores in Oman.

“Oman received the first shipment of Kashmiri apples. Ambassador Munu Mahawar was present at the launch of sale of three special varieties of apples from Jammu & Kashmir at Lulu Hypermarket,” the Embassy of India said in a statement online.

Last month, The Arabian Stories had reported that a delegation led by Lulu Group director A.V. Ananth, along with procurement experts visited various farms and processing units IN Kashmir to oversee the packaging and shipment process.

As a result, 200 tonnes of three variant apples were shipped to various stores of Lulu Group in the Middle East including Oman.
