Muscat: Oman has strongly denied a news report that it is planning to start a new airline company.
Last week a report by international news agency Reuters , citing sources, claimed that Oman was looking into creating a new regional airline that could take over domestic operations from state carrier Oman Air.
It also claimed a request for proposal had been issued by state entity Oman Aviation Group (OAG) for a feasibility study into operating the new airline, which it said would be called ‘Oman Link’.

The group is working on developing a promotional and investment programme called ‘Oman Link’, which aims to promote and connect regional airports in the Sultanate.”
Currently, Oman Air operates flights to four airports in the country, including the main Muscat International Airport.
