MUSCAT: Human Resource (HR) is undergoing major transformational change. A change that will be the future of HR which will have a major impact in the way we hire, train, and retain the workforce. Oman is no exception to that change, says Dr. Ghalib Saif Al Hosni, Chairman of the Omani Society for Human Resources Management (OSHRM).
“The employment landscape is drastically changing. And HR is now more connected to how the whole business is functioning, how the business is making revenue, and why the organization works the way it does. HR will be more like a true business partner for you. We are living in an era of artificial intelligence (AI) and the future is all about them controlling the way HR functions. I am sure that kind of change will happen in HR here,” Al Hosni said in an interview with The Arabian Stories on Thursday.
OSHRM in association with Nama Group will host the fifth Annual HR Conference from December 10-12 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
With the huge success of its preceding four conferences, OSHRM, has been able to engage and inspire the HR community in Oman and the region. This year, more than 800 delegates are expected to attend the two-day event. “Our conference this year will be the platform, designed to address core issues as well as discussing the future of Human Resources and what lessons we have learned and are still learning,” Al Hosni noted.
The HR Conference will involve speakers and experts from around the world who will focus on strategies and best practices of Human Resources that will support organizations to build future development projects. Experts will share their insights on the latest topics and issues affecting the Human Resources sector today.
