Mumbai: Indian badminton player PV Sindhu has beaten Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 to win the finals of the World Badminton Championship and win her first gold medal.
While winning her first gold would indeed be special, what makes it even more so is that she has won it on her mother’s birthday, and has decided to dedicate her special day to her mum.
