Islamabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to remove Sarfaraz Ahmed as the captain of the national cricket team. Pakistani local media reported that a replacement has already been chosen.
According to a Geo News report, Sarfaraz was relieved the Test captaincy prior to the ICC Test Championship. The 32-year-old cricketer has led Pakistan’s team in 13 Test matches to date.
Further details will be revealed in a cricket committee meeting on August 2 in Lahore. It was not mentioned whether Sarfaraz would remain the team captain during the one-day international (ODIs) and Twenty20 (T20).
