MUSCAT: Oman on Monday denied reports that it had conveyed a message from the United States to the Iranian government over the downing last week of an American unmanned drone.
In a statement issued online, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “The Sultanate is watching current regional developments with concern and hopes that the Iranian and American sides show restraint and address unresolved issues through dialogue,”
“The Ministry confirms that the information being circulated that the Sultanate of Oman conveyed an American message to the Iranian government about the incident of shooting down of an American unmanned drone on 20-6-2019 is untrue,” the statement added.
