MUSCAT: With Eid al Fitr celebrations kicking-off on Wednesday, June 5, the Royal Oman Police has warned parents against buying firecrackers as they can cause serious damage to people and property.
It has also urged parents to look for entertainment options for their children, other than firecrackers as they damage skin, harm eyes, and can cause burns and hearing loss. Firecrackers also scare many children.
The announcement comes in the wake of Eid al Fitr during which the demand for firecrackers goes up.
