MUSCAT: The Indian embassy in Oman is aware of parents concern over Indian School Wadi Kabir tuition fee hike, a tweet from the mission house reveals.
“Embassy is aware of the matter. It has been in discussion with some parents of ISWK. The matter has been put forward to BOD for examination and appropriate action,” the tweet read.
The embassy was responding to a tweet from a parent. Parents are hoping for a solution to the unprecedented steep hike in the school fees announced for the academic year 2019-20.

Parents of Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir (ISWK) are in a fix as the school stated that its management committee has approved the fee hike for the academic year 2019-20 by RO2 per month amounting to RO24 per annum, per child.

Parents of ISWK students were voicing their opposition to the fee hike which they alleged is unjustifiable.
As per its profile, ISWK has 6,500 students and 243 teachers on the roll. It also has a pre-school section consisting of two years.
