Muscat: Omani nationals travelling to Pakistan will now be able to get visas on arrival.

Already in effect since May 2019, visitors can now obtain visas by accessing https://visa.nadra.gov.pk. Travellers will be expected to print, or save on their handheld devices, the ‘Electronic Travel Authorisation’ (ETA), prior to departure.

There are four visa categories – visit/tourist, family, work/business, and transit – which an Omani citizen can apply for. The fee for single entry in the category of visit/tourist visa is OMR10. The cost for ‘family visa’ under single entry is OMR10 and OMR15 for multi entry (one year) and OMR20 for multiple entries (two to five years).

Work/business visa for single entry can be obtained for OMR39; OMR58 for multiple entries (one year) and OMR77 for multiple entries (two to five years). Transit visa for single entry is OMR5.

For any further clarity or query, the Embassy of Pakistan in Oman can also be reached at parepmuscat@mofa.gov.pk.

Earlier this year, the government of Pakistan announced that citizens of 175 countries around the world will soon be able to apply for e-visas to visit Pakistan while 50 countries will be eligible for visas on arrival. During a visit to Oman by Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, in January 2019, he assured that Oman will be one of the countries to receive visas on arrival.
