Muscat: An Omani who used his fishing boat to help expats illegally exit the Sultanate in exchange for funds, has been arrested by the Royal Oman Police.
In a statement, the ROP said,”A fishing boat belonging to a citizen who transported a group of expatriates was seized. The citizen would facilitate their exit from the country by sea in exchange for money.”
In another case, members of an international smuggling gang have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police.

“The Northen Batinah Police command arrested members of a network of expatriates who were involved in smuggling a group Asian nationals illegally,” ROP said.
The police added that legal action was taken against them.
