MUSCAT: India’s budget carrier, GoAir commenced direct flight operations from Kannur International Airport to Muscat on Friday night.
Top high-ranking officials from the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) and Oman Airports welcomed the passengers and crew members of the maiden flight when it arrived in Muscat.

Arjun Das Gupta, Vice President, GoAir International operations said, three weekly flight between Kannur to Muscat will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The flight is scheduled to leave Kannur at 8 pm and arrive in Muscat at 10.15 pm local time. Return flight will leave Muscat at 11.15 pm and arrive in Kannur at 4.15 am local time.

GoAir was recently licensed by the Indian authorities to start services to Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Dammam from Kannur.
