MUSCAT: A book which had a cover page depicting Oman as a different country has been pulled out from the 2019 Muscat Book Fair
“The fair’s administration will not accept any excuses from the publishing house unless it takes steps to remove this book or prove that there quick work to change the book’s contents and provide a document proving so from the Arab Publisher’s Association and the Egyptian Publisher’s Association, Yousuf Abdullah Al Balushi, Director of the fair, said.
A map on the book, which was meant to depict GCC countries, had labelled Oman as a different GCC country. The six nations of the GCC are Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.
