Students of Indian School Salalah excel in class XII & X CBSE Board Examination 2023

MUSCAT : Indian School Salalah yet again exults with an outstanding result, making a splendid record in the CBSE class XII& X Examinations held in March-April 2023.

Putting an end to the disruptions induced by the pandemic in the educational system, CBSE resumed with their usual routine of the conduct of the exam and students appeared for a full-fledged Board Exam and have proved their competence. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the board examinations from February 15 till April 5 and the much-awaited results were announced on 12th May, 2023.

Another major highlight of the result is its vivacious centum holders. In class X it’s extremely commendable to have 14 perfect scores of 100-Twelve in Malayalam and two in Social Science. Another golden feather in the cap of ISS is its vibrant centum holders in class XII. It’s extremely commendable to have two centum scorers- one in Informatics Practices and one in Psychology.

Class XII Results

Indian School Salalah once again proved its academic excellence by scoring 99.48 percent result with 193 students appearing for Class XII board examinations. Displaying an outstanding performance in the examination, the students of Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams have proved their mettle and set commendable records for Indian School Salalah.

Result Highlights:

In the Science stream, Master Kashif Firoz topped the school result with 96.4 %. Equally competent the second topper’s position was earned by Master Vineet Vatsal with 95.6 % and the third position was claimed by Miss Maryam Zyina Riyazudeen with 93.8 %. Out of 116 students in the Science stream who appeared for the exam, 67 got Distinction i.e above 75%, and 47 students secured First class and only 2 students secured 50-60%

Taking the top spot in Commerce Stream, Miss. Shahin Mohammad Imran Khan secured 91.8 % followed by Master Ayush Ganesh Sapate securing the second position with 91.2 % while Miss Anagha Joby secured the third position with 90 %. Out of 65 students in commerce stream 18 secured Distinction i.e above 75% , 36 students secured First class and 11 students were less than 60%.

In the Humanities stream, Master Noel John topped with 95.6 % followed by Miss. Roniya Maria Roy with 87.2 %, and Miss. Rida Shah with 87 %. Out of 17 students in the Humanities stream, 5 got Distinction i.e above 75% and 7 students secured First class.

Class X Results

Out of the 236 students who appeared for the exam, 48 students displayed an outstanding performance by securing 90% and above.

With an outstanding 97%, Miss Alqama emerged as the school topper, followed by Master Aarnav Gupta who proudly earned 96.8 % and arose as the second topper. By securing 96.6 %, Miss Tejal Vijili Prajith clinched the third topper position, thus bringing laurels to the school with their phenomenal competitive performance. Out of 236 who appeared, 140 secured distinction, 69 secured first class and 27 secured less than 60%.

President Indian School Salalah Management Committee, Dr. Abubacker Siddique with esteemed members in committee lauded the students for their brilliant performance in class X&XII examination. He further extended heartfelt appreciation to the teachers and parents for their commitment and cooperation.

Principal Mr. Deepak Patankar congratulated the students who made their school and parents proud with outstanding results. He also lauded the unflinching support of teachers for their sincerity and commitment for making all efforts to set a higher benchmark of success in the board examination.
