Dubai – According to news sources, the blaze broke out on Saturday afternoon and Dubai’s Civil Defence Operations Room reached the spot within minutes of receiving the notification.
The fire was brought under control within two hours since the start of operations at around 12.41pm.
As per the statement issued by the Civil Defence, the fire started on the fourth floor of the residential building that resulted in the death of 16 people. Preliminary investigations have placed the blame on a lack of compliance with security and safety requirements in the building.
