RIYADH – Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Transport has enforced a new decision, following which an official transport document is now mandatory for all foreign trucks arriving in the country. The electronic transport document is issued through the electronic transmission portal via “payload documentation” and includes the data of the sender and the addressee, shipment information, and the schedule of movables, along with the flight details and the route and carrier data of the trucks.
To obtain the Transport Document, one can visit the electronic transport portal, register as a user, and issue the transfer document through the “payload documentation service”, following which they will need to add the document number to the scanning portal and complete the rest of the procedures at the portal.
