Muscat – The Authority stated that it has worked on preparing a draft regulation dealing with regulating mergers and acquisitions in the telecommunications sector; it has invited the public to participate and respond to the consultation document.
As per the announcement, responses and opinions about the public consultation document need to be sent before April 13, 2023, via online questionnaire or email to traoman@tra.gov.om or delivered to the head office.
The project aims to evaluate the proposed change in control that may affect competition in the telecommunications sector, while ensuring that competition and public interests are not significantly affected by the change in control.
