MUSCAT – The ROP issued a statement that reads as follows: ‘The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation has monitored fraudulent methods that are being promoted through social media, including provision of services to recover lost sums of money in fictitious currency trading operations, by filling in forged links, which are later exploited in other fraud operations.’ The public are requested not to fall for these fake advertisements and to inform competent authorities immediately.
