MUSCAT : Indian School Muscat U16’s beat Sri Lankan School Muscat U16 by 37 runs and Muscat Cricket Coaching Centre (MCCC) Yellow U13 beat Bosher Sports Centre (BSC) U13 E by 9 wickets in the Oman Cricket Junior Domestic League Season 2022-23 powered by Mazoon Dairy SAOC.
In the U16 finals, batting first, ISM U16 got off to a salient start scoring 42/2 in the first 10 overs. Devansh Loya (71 of 49; 9×4) batted magnificently scoring a half-century carrying the ISM innings to a par score of 153/10 in 28 overs. Omindu PM was the key armer claiming figures of 5/16 along with Mohd Rushdaan and Senuka VN picking 2 wickets too. In response, ISM U16 bowlers dominated the second innings. SLSM batsmen couldn’t stand the attack losing wickets at regular intervals. Omindu PM (38 of 27; 6×4) tried getting SLSM close to the target but couldn’t take them over the line. SLSM bundled down to 116/10 in 25.2 overs courtesy Devansh Loya’s 3/20 well supported by the rest of the bowlers. Devansh Loya was adjudged the Man of the Match for the Finals and ISM U16 A was crowned Champions.

In the U13 finals, BSC U13 elected to bat first. Aditya Chaudhari (26 of 30; 3×4) and Vihaan Apte (27 of 24; 4×4) helped BSC U13 reach to 105/8 in 20 overs after loosing wickets at regular intervals to the MCCC Yellow U13 bowlers. Arav Pillai, Karnik Mehta and Pranav NS were the key to the MCCC Yellow bowling picking 2 wickets each. In response, Kriv Patel bolstered a quick fire (64 of 33; 9×4) well supported by Siddeshwaran S (29 of 23; 4×4) to chase down the target in 10.1 overs. Vihaan Apte was the only bowler to claim a wicket. Kriv Patel was adjuged the Man of the Match for the Finals and MCCC Yellow U13 was crowned Champions.
In the Prize Distribution ceremony for the U13 & U16 Junior Domestic League powered by Mazoon Dairy SAOC, Mr. Kiran Asher – Board Member, Oman Cricket and Mr. Duleep Mendis – Chief Development Officer, Oman Cricket graced the stage.
For the U16 Junior Domestic League, Kriv Patel was awarded the Best Batsman, Aneek Chakraborty was awarded the Consolation Batsman, Omindu PM was awarded the Best Bowler and Jayapranesh Ayyapan was awarded the Best All-Rounder. ISM U16 A were announced Champions and SLSM U16 were the Runners Up.
For the U13 Junior Domestic League, Kriv Patel was awarded the Best Batsman and the Best All Rounder and Shravan Sharat Kurup was awarded the Best Bowler. MCCC Yellow U13 were announced Champions and BSC U13 E were the Runners Up.
