MUSCAT : His Majesty the Sultan initiated the meeting by praising God Almighty and thanking Him for His blessings, favours, and benevolence on Oman, and for the achievements and good results that have given the country more confidence to move towards the future.

His Majesty touched on the future directions of the state and its policies aimed at continuing the comprehensive development process as planned in Oman Vision 2040, stressing during this meeting his high interest and continuous follow-up of the private sector and his keenness to strengthen partnership and communication between this sector and the government sector in the next phase.

His Majesty also referred to the need for business owners and small and medium enterprises to benefit from the infrastructure facilities, economic packages, and programs adopted by the government, including the promotion of local content for Omani industries and other facilities and programs.

His Majesty stressed on the importance of empowering SMEs and emerging companies in the local economy and their integration with large companies through innovative solutions and qualitative business opportunities they offer in the local and foreign market. His Majesty also emphasized the need to create a business environment in the country to be competitive, attractive to investments and create job opportunities in which the government exercises the regulatory role associated with efficiency and successful administrative smoothness.
