MUSCAT – The 27th edition of the Assarain Golf Classic was held at the Ghala Golf Club on 3rd and 4th February, with the participation of over 130 golfers.

Following the win, a delighted Nasser said: “The Assarain Golf Classic is a fantastic tournament and it feels great to win a competition of this stature. I would like to thank my playing partners over the last few days. It was a pleasure to be in this event and again I would like to thank the sponsor Assarain Group of Companies.”

Khalil Al Wahaibi, General Manager of Ghala Golf Club, which managed the event, said: “The atmosphere was electric from the first day. I was truly amazed by the participation and overall feel of the 2023 Assarain Golf Classic. We were oversubscribed and had to have a cut off for players as we unfortunately could not fit all of them in. Overall, it was a tremendous occasion.”

Mundhir Al Barwani, Chairman of Oman Golf Association, was the guest of honor at the ceremony held on the final day, which was also graced by a host of dignitaries. The Assarain Classic ended with the traditional raffling off of a Hublot watch that was won by Ahmed Al Balushi.
